Club Championship Finals Day
The weather forecast for the highlight of the club calendar was dismal just a few days prior. But fortune was in our favour, and we enjoyed perfect weather for the entire Sunday of 21st September.
Per Coach Angie:
“Peter retained his Men's Singles crown for the second year in a row, while Kirstie retained her Ladies Singles crown for the sixth year in a row! Kim & Tyla retained their Doubles crown for a second year in a row.
All the other events have new Champions (results and draws can be found in the Club Championship area of the Member’s Section).
A big thank you to Sarah & Sabira for providing all the delicious food and for decorating the club house. We had a steady trickle of members coming down to watch the matches and many of our younger juniors & adult Plate winners came down at 1pm to collect their prizes.
Many thanks to our Umpires & Line Judges.
And a special thank you to Sarah & Oliver who were at the Club at 7.30am sweeping the top courts and around the clubhouse to make it look nice, as well as putting out all the chairs and displaying the trophies. I arrived at 9am expecting to set it all up to discover it had been done - amazing 🥰”
